Cash Drawer Report -The report has been reorganized to present
the same information in an easier to read format. Some of the column names have

Box Art Flag - A box art flag has been added to the rental product
copy record. What this is intended to be used for is an indicator when you have
a rental copy with missing box. When you store your movies behind the counter (closed
inventory) and have your boxes on the floor, there are times when these boxes come
up missing. Simply bring up this copy and uncheck the box art flag. This box art
indicator has also been added to the rental copy filter so you can run a report
on all rental copies with missing boxes.

Customer Scan - The customer scan window appears when you enter
customer information at the transaction screen, and you have more than one customer
that matches the information. This is the list of possible customers. Now when you
drag your mouse pointer over the top of each row in the grid, additional information
is presented in a tool tip: customer photo, and customer address.

Rental Product Copy List - This report has been changed to print
in landscape to give us room to add the copy grouping, and to increase the size
of a few key fields (id number, title).
Customer, Rental Product, and Merchandise Searches - When doing
a search that returns more than 2000 records, we have expanded the column widths
to be more in line with the actual field size. Searches that yield less than 2000
records, Alerion will auto-size the column to fit the maximum length the data in
each field. The reason we do not auto-size on results of 2000 or more is that it
slows down the display of results to the user.

Exchange Rental - This new feature will allow you easily exchange
a rental item for a customer. In the past, you had to return the movie, issue a
refund, then rent the new movie. With this feature, it does all that for you.
Note: This new feature is not available if you are using pay at check-in with a
Rentrak enabled system.
Employee Privileges - A new employee privilege has been added for
the newly created exchange rental system. For the rental product editor, there is
now two privileges. One for the titles and one for the copies.
Rental and Merchandise Searches - These will now save teh search
perference and search column values when you exit the search. We recommend setting
the rental product search to 'contains'.
Batch Check-in Grid - The grid has been modified to indicate if
an authorized rentaer checked out the rental item. Prior it only showed the main
account holder.

End-of-Day Report - A cash drawer summary has been added to the
cash drawer section of this report. This will show you a cumulative total of all
the cash drawers. In addition, a short/over value was added to each cash drawer
summary.
Rented Inventory Reports - Both reports, in the customer and rental
product report sections, have been modified to include a landscape option. This
will print the report in landscape mode to allow us to increase the rental product
ID number that prints on the reports.
Rewards System - The transaction process was not re-pricing rentals
to the original matrix price when an associated reward redemption was removed from
the transaction.
When deleting a movie that had an associated reward redemption, the reward redemption
would remain on the transaction. Now when you delete a movie with a reward associated
with it, all reward redemptions on the transactions are removed. You will need to
reapply any reward redemptions on the transaction.
Employee Privileges - A new has been added - Delete Check-in ADR
Item. What this privilege does is allow or prevent a clerk from removing and ADR
(late) fee from the transaction invoice during a checking of an overdue item. This
privilege will be set to "No" by default.
Edit ADR Amount - This was incorrectly labeled and now reads "Edit AR Item Amount".
An AR Item can be a late fee (ADR item), an item that was placed on account, or
a deposit.
Delete ADR - This was incorrectly labeled and now reads "Delete Ar Item". An AR
Item can be a late fee (ADR item), an item that was placed on account, or a deposit.

Customer SSN - The customer SSN field is now masked and can only
be seen with the appriopriate privilege.
Authorized Renters - An ID field has been added to the each authorized
renter. The main card holder and authorized renters can now be retrieved at the
transaction screen using the ID Card field.
Transaction Customer Display - The customer rewards button will
blink when the customer has at least one reward available.
Batch Check-in Hotkey - A new button at the transaction window
will take you directly to the batch check-in feature.
Employee Password - The employee password is now visible in the
employee editor if you are logged in as Store Owner.
Employee Notes - The employee editor now has notes.
Employee Hourly Rate - An hourly rate field as been added to the
employee record.
Time Clock Report - The employee hourly rated as been added to
the time clock report along with a calculate of base pay - Hours times Hourly Rate. |

period).
Where this comes into play is when you want to give the renter a break for returning

Vendor Field - a vendor field has been introduced into the rental
title information. This new field is a drop down box that allows you to pick from
existing vendors in your data. You can also add a new vendor on the fly by typing

Pay at Check-in Minimum Fee - This new feature
gives you the ability
to charge a minimum fee for pay at check-in (pay on return) rental items. For example,
you may be charging $1.00 per day for your pay at check-in rentals, but want to
charge a $2.00 minimum.
Transaction Count - A new visual counter has been added to the
transaction window which will show you the number of merchandise items, check-in
items, and check-out items during a transaction. This visual aid will help
insure your clerk gets every item on the counter entered into the system.

Multi-Volume Rentals - This new feature gives you the ability to
track items that accompany the rental product. You may have game instructions, accessories,
a 2-DVD set, or a TV series (with multiple DVDs) you want to track.
You build a component list for each rental and during the check-out and check-in,
you scan each ID number to insure that all items are present. This quick presentation
will show you how to setup multi-volume rentals in Alerion, how to check them out,
and how to check them back in.

Batch Check-In Log - This new viewer gives you the ability to see
past Batch Check-in sessions and see what transpired for each item checked-in. For
example, if you are doing pay at check-in, you will see if the customer's credit

Secure Credit Card Entry - This feature gives you the ability
to hide the customer's credit card information from your staff, while allowing them
to enter new credit card information for the customer.
With the privilege removed from your clerk, he/she will see that the information
is locked from view.

If the clerk needs to enter new credit card information from the customer, they
simply click the pencil icon to see the credit card data entry window.

Here your clerk can swipe the credit card and the information is inserted into the
customer's record. If the credit card information needs to be entered manually,
you can do that also.
Add Multiple Rental Copies - This feature gives you the ability to add multiple copies to a title. This function will replicate the copy information
for each new copy [except for the ID number].

Checking for updates - A new feature enables Alerion to check for
the latest updates on our servers. This requires an Internet connection and you
need to turn the program setting on.
To turn on this feature:
- From the Alerion main menu
- Click Program Settings
- Click Check for program updates in the bottom left corner

When an update to Alerion is available, you will be prompted to download the latest
version when you first lanch Alerion.

Signature capture - This new feature allows you to capture customer
signatures during a transaction and utilizes a Topaz signature pad. At the end of
a transaction with a rental or when a credit card is used for the purchase, the
