which comes into play July 2010.

Rental Group Pricing - This feature gives you the ability to adjust
rental pricing and/or the number of rental days based on what type of rental items
appear on the transaction. This tool is essential when you want to:
- Give a free children's movie with each new release rented.
- Extend the rental days when the customer rents 3 or more items.
- Provide a discount on a game counsel when 3 or more games are rented at the same
time.

Pay at Check-In Grace Periods - The grace periods that are entered
on the
check-in settings tab
will now be applyed to pay at check-in (pay on return) rental items. This provides
the means to print a due time for the rental items (say 6 PM), and have the system
begin charging for the next rental day at a later time (say 7 PM - 1 hour grace
period).
Where this comes into play is when you want to give the renter a break for returning
the movie just a little later than when it was due.

End of Day Department Report - A new report was added to the End
of Day function and the financial report EOD format. This report shows you the quantity
and revenue generated by each of your merchandise departments.

Vendor Field - a vendor field has been introduced into the rental
title information. This new field is a drop down box that allows you to pick from
existing vendors in your data. You can also add a new vendor on the fly by typing
in the text box.
Pay at Check-in Minimum Fee - This new feature
gives you the ability
to charge a minimum fee for pay at check-in (pay on return) rental items. For example,
you may be charging $1.00 per day for your pay at check-in rentals, but want to
charge a $2.00 minimum.
Transaction Count - A new visual counter has been added to the
transaction window which will show you the number of merchandise items, check-in
items, and check-out items during a transaction. This visual aid will help
insure your clerk gets every item on the counter entered into the system.

Tax Breakdown Report - This new report will show you the revenue
generated for each of the tax codes (1-9, and exempt).

Multi-Volume Rentals - This new feature gives you the ability to
track items that accompany the rental product. You may have game instructions, accessories,
a 2-DVD set, or a TV series (with multiple DVDs) you want to track.
You build a component list for each rental and during the check-out and check-in,
you scan each ID number to insure that all items are present. This quick presentation
will show you how to setup multi-volume rentals in Alerion, how to check them out,
and how to check them back in.

Batch Check-In Log - This new viewer gives you the ability to see
past Batch Check-in sessions and see what transpired for each item checked-in. For
example, if you are doing pay at check-in, you will see if the customer's credit
card was approved for the transaction or if the fee was placed on account.

Cash Drawer Balance History - This viewer gives you a look at the
past cash drawer information:
- Data and Time Opened
- Employee
- Opening Balance
- Closing Balance
- Calculated Balance (what Alerion computes should be in the drawer ~ less opening)

Secure Credit Card Entry - This feature gives you the ability
to hide the customer's credit card information from your staff, while allowing them
to enter new credit card information for the customer.
With the privilege removed from your clerk, he/she will see that the information
is locked from view.
If the clerk needs to enter new credit card information from the customer, they
simply click the pencil icon to see the credit card data entry window.
Here your clerk can swipe the credit card and the information is inserted into the
customer's record. If the credit card information needs to be entered manually,
you can do that also.
Add Multiple Rental Copies - This feature gives you the ability to add multiple copies to a title. This function will replicate the copy information
for each new copy [except for the ID number].

Previously Rented Title Alert – This feature will alert your clerk
when a customer has previously rented a title from your business (in Alerion).
Rental Product Revenue Status Bar - This featured added a status
bar on the title information window that shows you the life turns, and revenue on
a title.

Checking for updates - A new feature enables Alerion to check for
the latest updates on our servers. This requires an Internet connection and you
need to turn the program setting on.
To turn on this feature:
- From the Alerion main menu
- Click Program Settings
- Click Check for program updates in the bottom left corner

When an update to Alerion is available, you will be prompted to download the latest
version when you first lanch Alerion.
Title information import - This feature has been modified to conform
to the new Amazon AWS lookup API. A new secret key has been added.

Signature capture - This new feature allows you to capture customer
signatures during a transaction and utilizes a Topaz signature pad. At the end of
a transaction with a rental or when a credit card is used for the purchase, the
signature capture device will prompt the customer to sign.
Authorized renter birthdays - A birthdate field was added to the
customer's authorized renters in order to determine their ages during a rental.
